Shrinking & Global Cities: Wer will hier das Chemnitz-Mitte-Feeling?
Freirauminitiativen in Berlin und Chemnitz
Sind Akteure wie die des Experimentellen Karrees nur Helfershelfer von Stadtverwaltung und Wohnungsunternehmen beim Flicken der Krisenlöcher? Findet man sich schließlich in einer Stadt wieder, die man so doch gar nicht wollte? Oder bietet die aktuelle Wirtschaftsschwäche engagierten Raumpionieren reale, bisher ungeahnte Möglichkeiten bei der Inbesitznahme ehemals un- bzw. fehlgenutzter Räume? Worin liegen emanzipative Formen der Stadtteilarbeit in Shrinking ebenso wie in Global Cities? Um sich bietende Chancen auf Freiräume zu erkennen und zu nutzen, muss man die aktuellen Veränderungen verstehen. Dafür wollen wir an diesem Abend einen Beitrag leisten.
